Not just another environmentally friendly detergent suitable for people with sensitivity to most laundry detergents – Aller Wash™ does ALL of that, but Aller Wash™ is effective against dust mite & pet allergen and is the only detergent which meets international standard AS4480.1 1998 for washing sheepskin, such as baby & medical sheepskins, without damage to the leather and meets AS4146 Laundry Standard for chemical disinfection. Aller Wash™ was tested* at the Wool Research Organisation of New Zealand (WRONZ) which found over 90% mortality of house dust mites in repeated tests.
The results were based on a wool wash cycle of 4 minutes at 33.5°C, 5 minute spray rinse, 2 minute deep rinse & spin dry. Temperatures above 55°C will kill dust mites but delicates and most natural fibres plus sheepskins are damaged at this temperature.
The oil from tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is nature’s weapon against dust mite, a known cause of allergen for asthma sufferers and particularly babies. Tantech Pty Ltd worked in association with The Australian Essential Oil Company of Coraki NSW in developing this unique essential oil blend.
Aller Wash™ contains a unique blend of melaleuca oils, including tea tree oil, which has been proven effective against dust mite*.
Aller Wash™ can be used as a general laundry detergent suitable for bed linen and clothing. Aller Wash™ will be beneficial to chronic asthma sufferers where dust mite is a critical matter.
Tea tree oil, whilst being effective against house-dust mite, is also recognised as antifungal and antibacterial as well.
